GreaterGood
Autism Community

Established in Sri Lanka in 2024, Greatergood Association is a dedicated not-for-profit organisation officially registered as an NGO in May 2026.
Born from a passionate initiative by parents seeking to create meaningful opportunities for their young adult son with autism, Greatergood was founded with the vision of creating a more inclusive, supportive, and purpose-driven future for young adults with autism and related disabilities in Sri Lanka. This pioneering project aims to foster a vibrant residential community specifically designed for young adults with Autism, Down syndrome, and various Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
At GreaterGood, we are deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Our mission is to empower residents to live with dignity, embracing their individuality while encouraging independence. Through personalised care and tailored support, we aim to help each resident unlock their full potential, guiding them towards leading fulfilling and enriched lives within a warm and welcoming community.
Nestled just a short, 30-minute drive from the picturesque shores of Negombo Beach, the community will occupy a generously donated 10-acre property. This serene and tranquil setting offers ample space for relaxation and connection with nature-elements crucial for the residents to flourish. The nearby quaint township will serve as an additional resource, facilitating social interactions and promoting community engagement among residents and locals alike.
A central feature of GreaterGood will be a thoughtfully designed hospitality section, where residents will have the opportunity to work and earn a living. This initiative not only creates an opportunity for residents to earn a living to support their livelihood within the community. but also plays a crucial role in building self-esteem and professional skills. The hospitality services will cater specifically to families with children who have Autism or IDD, as well as those interested in living, learning, and working within the community, providing them with quality experiences while fostering a sense of community among all participants.
